Thank you permashadow build, the A/Me that is. Took me about three hours to do this and faced a few near death experiences (and one point I got a stop error that caused my laptop to crash, got killed and have to start over).

I was doing this to get the joke weapon ogre-slaying knife, but apart from the greens seen from the top picture, these are the other greens that I have gotten. In addition, i got one ecto, one mesmer tome, and one warrior tome. Not a great place to get ectos if you ask me:

Let's hope ANet doesn't see this because if they make any move that woiuld nerf perma shadow build, particularly the A/E version, I WILL hold a protest (i was going to protest the nerf on the "for great justice" shout when it completely nerfed dragon-slash spamming for pvp, but I decided to stick with crippling slash).

i heard they are going to do another balance update, and if it nerfs perma shadow, then I will hold protest, really?

I got few good tips for you guys:
1) Do NOT, by any Dwayna means, deal with more than 5 Grasps of Insanity. The reason is relating to energy management, as these mischievous grasps uses ["Fear Me!"] and ["To the Limit!"] by draining your energy to nothing. Sometimes, they will activate the fear me shout at the same time, putting you into a more vulnerable postion. Should you wish to fight more than five, then bring [Channeling] in conjunction with [Spirit of Failure] (which I did in the screenshots).
2) The Darknesses and Chaos Wurms have natural resistance against hexes, so use [Wastrel's Worry] as your advantage. In addition, you can use this spell against other mobs as well, although grasps may be a bit more difficult due to constant use of skills that misses due to shadow.
3) Activate the second shadow form (Echoed one) when the first one is around half duration left (I had 14 Shadow Arts).
4) In the second level, when you have to face the burrowing Chaos Wurms, DO NOT move around. Otherwise, they'll chase and Knockdown you again.
5) Cast Spirit of Failure on one of the grasps for best results.
6) Always cast Deadly Paradox before Arcane Echo to avoid the premature ending of Arcane Echo.

Let's hope they don't nerf it, because I use the A/E Lava Front/Rodgrot permashadow version to farm in the UW for ectos and I want to get one of those everlasting tonics. And if this happens, then ecto prices will skyrocket because there isn't any build other than permashadow that can handle UW and 55 monk is so 200 years ago. Also, they will kill my main money maker.

Ontopic: It feels like I'm the only person nowadays who has never made a Monk or Assassin... ever. I must be missing out on so much... no, I'll stick to my Air Elementalist and Curses Necromancer.

I got a few things. First, how do we know you didn't have any players leave on the end of the 3rd level? Second, the name was changed, how do we know its YOUR assassin

. But, none the less, now I know it can be done (I usually get way to bored on the 2nd/3rd level to try to solo it all the way, and that was BEFORE the perma sin).

Maybe I will go through it fully just to see the actual HoH room *never really tried HA and as I said, only made it to 3rd lvl in Tombs before leaving*. But, until Tombs gets a statue, chances are I won't go through

I actually did farm tombs sololy, and the reason why I changed my character's name in the screen is mostly for safety reason to avoid hackers (and Lucario is Pokemon version of Chuck Norris).

You're not the only one... On the sin only, though. I was gonna create one, but then with everyone else having one, the poor use outside farming, and the uglyness of the females, made me change my mind :O.

I'm sure some would like to beg to differ :P. All melee classes are overused by noobs (less dervs though cause instagib and wammo are more attractive i assume).

@OP: Sololy is not a word, just solo. Also congratulations on doing ToPK solo, personally I like the permashadow as well, free carto ftw and farming when/if I ever need to.

and as for ectos, it's quite a good place really, last night, I got about 9k thanks to loot, an ecto and a Ruby ^_^ although I just farm (in HM) the first room, ignore all the grasps and scythes, aggro the terrorwebs on the bottom level so they follow me to the other terrorwebs and banished dream riders and finish them all of then resign

takes 3 - 5 minutes (using sliver armor)

got that 9k in half an hour but I have gotten that much in 10 minutes a few days ago ^_^ almost duo'd (with another perma sin) the first two levels with my guild leader but since we did seperate bits of the chamber, he ended up getting Fear me'd by 5+ grasps at the same time and died, I took care of them but when I got to the final enemy, a scythe of chaos, I lost concentration and forgot to renew SF >_>

<_< Maybe one day I'll complete Tombs, even if its not solo >_> (I hate grasps >_> )

that's why I said you shouldn't deal with more than 5 grasps at the time.

its alot easier using the A/e build with daggers and atts in crit. take 3 attack skills and two crit skills i cant remember and you get energy regen especially if you take zealous daggers. basically GG agaisnt fear me.
Also take a high energy staff incase they fear me "spike".

ive soloed this on NM and done it 2 man with a ranger spirits and bonds on HM just to make it faster. we used the crazy amount of greens to equip his heros fully.

been there done that,congrats tho,i used a/me and a/e altho with a/me takes like forever to kill wurms ,hadn´t tried it with the newly buffed wastrell´s worry,anyway i had succes with a/e and a dagger chain ,needless to say i think i will never repeat the run cause spaming 3 atacck skills till the end of the run is Booorrrinnng.

with the right build a/e dagger build you can easily take down 8 grasps at once...
